We will watch a movie, clean the classroom, and celebrate our multiplication facts with our ice cream sundae party. ------------------------------------------ DFA Portfolio 4th Quarter: The last quarter of the year there are 7 DFA's (4 normal and 3 grammar based). This is to create a portfolio of student work, that could be used to help a student with summer school should that be necessary. We will give all 7 DFA's but only keep the top 4 grades. We will drop the 3 lowest grades (based on each child's performance). We will not be able to do this until all 7 are complete, so you will see them all in Focus.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT TARDIES, ABSENCES, & EARLY CHECKOUTS
From the office regarding attendance: Please remember to promptly send in an excuse note stating the reason for the absence. The student handbook states you have 3 days to submit the excuse upon return to school. All absences over 3 days need to be approved prior to the absence. These can be denied. Students may have 10 absences. Any absences after that require a doctors note for every absence. Please let me know if you have questions or contact the office for further explanations.
Please note - perfect attendance awards are given only if a student was never absent, tardy or checked out early. Any one of these, no matter how short, disqualifies a student from receiving this award.
**Please view page 9 of the Student Handbook for additional information.
